Description
As a half-human, half-Drow private eye, Nyx is the go-to girl for tracking Demons in the night. So when several of New York City’s Werewolves go missing, Alpha Werewolf Dmitri Beketov hires Nyx for the job. But this time, she must leave the dark alleys and bright lights behind…
Nyx’s sixth sense tells her that life in the slow lane is a lot deadlier than it appears. Though she usually prefers to work solo, with this case she’s going to need all the help she can get. Enter Detective Adam Boyd: he’s watching her back, but is this human too sexy for his—and her—own good? Meanwhile, a powerful, malevolent force is exterminating paranorms and “unworthy” humans alike…and Nyx, still trying to get a foothold in her new surroundings, finds herself facing danger at every turn.

Summary: "Promising but not great"
I did not read the first book in the series. There is a lot of back story here and the world is pretty much as expected. The plot is OK as are the characters, but frankly the title is the best part of the book.
There are some annoying errors but not many.
Overall this is about par for the Genre or a bit better. (Although the secret government installation and Mad Scientist are a bit trite.)
Overall a decent entertaining read but noting really special. Could develop into an interesting series.

Summary: "Urban fans will really like this series"
Nyx Ciar is half-human and half-Drow. She and her good friend, Olivia are in business together. They are private investigators for paranormal crimes.
Dmitri Karl Beketov leader of he werewolf pack needs Nyx's help. Someone or something is attacking and killing the werewolves. Already six werewolves have been mutilated.
Nyx calls on some of the best trackers that includes Dopplers, Shifters, Were, and Fae. Nyx finds some extra help in the form of Detective Adam Boyd. Things between Adam and Nyx are about to get hotter but they better watch their backs as the killer is out for blood.
No Werewolves Allowed is book two in the Night Tracker series. I have not read book one but I didn't affect me from enjoying this book. Though, I did like this book so much that I plan to go back and read book one.
Urban fans will really like this series. It is dark and edgy. Nyx and Adam sizzled together. I liked Nyx's character as a Drow. It was refreshing to have one of the main characters something different other then vampires and werewolves. This book may be titled No Werewolves Allowed but they are allowed in my home and on my bookshelf. I can't wait to sink my teeth into book three, Vampires Not Invited.

Summary: "Nothing Incredibly New Here"
No Werewolves Allowed by Cheyenne McCray
"No Werewolves Allowed" is the second book in Ms McCray's Night Tracker series, with the first book being "Demon's Not Included". In Demons we are introduced to Nyx, a half human, half Drow who just happens to be a Drow Princess. She and her friend, a former NYC SWAT team member Olivia who is a pure human or "norm" as referred to in this series, run a PI business during the day and work at investigating paranormal crimes at night as Night Tracker's. Night is when Nyx's Drow side comes out and she turns into an amethyst skinned, blue haired, lethal Drow. A Drow being a Dark Elve. Just never call her purple! In this book Nyx is asked by Alpha Werewolf, Dimitri Beketov to investigate the disappearance of several of his pack member including two children, one who is Dimitri's son. Nyx and Olivia are joined by 3 other Trackers to go to upstate New York to investigate a threat that "one can't see or smell, and doesn't leave signs of any kind..."
This book starts slowly, but picks up about a third of the way through when we quit reading the same descriptions used in "Demon's Not Included". We finally move on to an action and I have to admit the action is well written if a little trite for someone who reads a lot of this genre. The internal repetitive dialogue over her "lost love" may get on your nerves but only until said "lost love" shows up to try to help save the day, which is a difficult thing for a full human to do when all the others are not.
I read this book right after finishing "Demons Not Included" and that may have been a mistake for me. It seems as if a lot of the first book is simply cut and paste into this one. What I mean by that is if you read them one after another you will see huge chunks of the same material as you read in the first book, inserted into this one. I don't mean this literally but I think you know what I mean. While describing things will help someone who hasn't read any of the other books, it will certainly disappoint readers who have been with you from the start. I found myself merely skimming pages of the beginning of "No Werewolves..."just to get to something I hadn't already read. Olivia and Nyx's bantering seems to get stale very quickly also. Olivia's incessant snide remarks about some of the "others", the paranorm crew, may quickly wear on you.
This is a perfectly adequate start to a series, albeit one that is not filled with fresh ideas. Then again in this somewhat supersaturated genre it's difficult at best to find something fresh and new. I will most likely read the next book out in this series, but it won't be on my automatic buy list.

Summary: "Shallow heroine, banter and steamy scenes, what's not to like!"
Nyx Ciar half human, half drow is a PI of the paranormal world by day and a tracker also of the paranormal by night. She and her partner are called for the abductions of werewolves near the city, since there are no traces left on the different kidnap places, the weres are running out of options, a team of trackers accompany them to start the search and when things get bad for Nyx her lover Adam Boyd an NYPD go to her aid.
The first thing one need to do to like this series, is to get used to the shallow heroine (at least that happen to me since I like this better than the previous), that is always checking how gorgeous every male she meets is, and worrying about her appearance and about name brand dropping, because as a drow princess she can afford every single brand out there. After that you get a fast pace story with lots of action, punches, blood, investigations and running. Banter between characters as her partner Olivia is a smart-a s s, and her fellow trackers are not far behind. Steam and more steam between Nyx and Adam. And finally a good plot to fight against. The first book (of demons) ended with the premise of this one (werewolves) and this ended with the next one (vampires).
A fun light read.
