Description

After four years abroad, Trinity MacKenna has returned home to her family's ranch in southeastern Arizona. Everything in her life is going just the way she planned it—a home in London, a brilliant career, and she's practically engaged to a gorgeous English gentleman. But when Trinity meets Luke, the cowboy turns her perfect world upside down. Everything about him is virile and sexy, dark and dangerous—and definitely not part of Trinity’s carefully arranged plans.

From the moment Luke Denver sees the sensual strawberry blond, he knows he's got to have her. Luke is intrigued by Trinity’s combination of sophistication and innocence, boldness and shyness. Even when Trinity tells him she's taken, Luke doesn't let that stop him, because he's determined to make her his…no matter the cost.

Summary: "Yet another "Wow""

This is the second of Cheyenne's books I have read. First being "Zack." I never read the Ellora's cave versions.

"Luke" is just as good as "Zack", but read Zack first. It helps you understand the story line better. The scenes were hotter than hot and the suspense was completely there. Not predictable at all. I will admit I found Trinity to be a little boring, but....in the end I loved her character almost as much as Luke...what can I say, I love cowboys!! I read this in two sittings of several hours each, an easy read, but not one I was able to put down.

Summary: "Hot thriller"

This was an erotic story filled with suspense. Luke was a little too alpha for me, but you can't help being seduced by his intensity.

Summary: "Steamy hot cowboy"

Trinity MacKenna moved away from Douglas, Arizona six years previous to start a new life. In that time, she transformed herself by losing weight, scoring a successful job, moving to London, England, and had a wealthy boyfriend with a hot accent. She decided to return to Arizona when she had a month off to visit her sister, Skylar, who still ran the family ranch.

When she meets Luke Rider, she realizes that maybe her new life is missing what he may be able to give her.

Luke Denver, aka Luke Rider, is an undercover government agent living as a ranch foreman on Skylar MacKenna's ranch to investigate potential drug smugglers. Having been focused on his job for so many years, he surprised himself to be immediately attractive and possessive of the beautiful Trinity.

Can Trinity keep distance from the cowboy and can Luke maintain focus on doing his job while attempting to win Trinity?

As with all Cheyenne McCray books, Luke is steaming hot. Luke is an alpha male that is completely overwhelming to Trinity. At times, he is almost too alpha, especially when Trinity cannot speak in complete sentences to him without stuttering. On the other hand, Trinity is an easy character to relate to. Unfortunately, I became angry with her towards the end.

The pacing is pretty well done, although I thought some of the intriguing portions of Luke's job took away from his relationship with Trinity. Also, I felt the ending is rushed and messy, leaving several issues unresolved.

Overall, Luke is supremely enjoyable. The romance is hot and intense, the relationship between Luke and Trinity believable even if a bit over the top (always getting caught in embarrassing situations), and you want to keep turning the pages. Give this book a try. You won't be disappointed.
